Behavioral Health Directing Clinician
Position Summary:
In alignment with the corporate mission, vision and values, the Director is responsible for supporting the Behavioral Health Administrator with the operations of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation's Behavioral Health Services. The Director is responsible for supporting the Behavioral Health Adminisrator in designing and operating services and processes that are systematic, aligned, deployed and continuously improved, and is responsible for ensuring that all resources are aligned with the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation's pursuit of excellence.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Master’s degree required; Preferred in human services or related field.
- Minimum Experience: Five years supervisory experience providing various Behavioral Health services at a satisfactory level preferred. Experience in a cross-cultural setting, pereferably with Alaska Native cultures. Yup'ik speaker preferred.

License, Certification, Registration:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage & Famiy Therapist (LMFT), or other approved licenses in the State of Alaska preferred.
- If not currently licensed in the State of Alaska, a plan to obtain licensure within 6 months is required. Prefer individuals that can provide licensing supervision in the State of Alaska.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage & Famiy Therapist (LMFT), or other approved licenses in the State of Alaska preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced written and oral communication skills are essential, as is being proficient in clinical assessment skills and intake assessments skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with, evaluate competencies for, and develop training plans with staff at various levels of education.
- Responsible for ensuring that program policies, procedures and applicable state and national accredidation standards are met.
- Must be able to provide clinical guidance and supervision to team members.
- Must be able to ensure the program makes necessary changes and updates to reflect current program philosophies and needs of the client served.
- Knowledge and ability to comply with The Joint Commission standards, Medicaid regulations and all applicable laws and regultions.
