Human Resources - Workforce Administrator $20,000 Sign-On Bonus, Relocation Assistance Available
Position Responsibilities: This position is chief executive of the Workforce Division under the supervision of the Vice President, Workforce Development. The Workforce Division consists of approximately 30-40 employees and consultants and has an annual budget of $2-3m/yr. The Workforce Administrator is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive human resource and workforce development strategy in support of YKHC’s overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The Workforce Administrator is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of YKHC’s overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. Oversees and directly manages the delivery of HR solutions including people strategy, benefits, compensations, culture design and change management, team effectiveness, workforce planning, learning strategy, and employee relations. Responsibility also entails operational HR functions such as talent acquisition, training, and compensation and benefits. The Workforce Administrator provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, shareholders and the board of directors.
Performs duties as workload necessitates. Maintains a positive and respectful attitude. Communicates regularly with supervisor about Department issues. Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload. Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position. Meets Department productivity standards.
- Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision.
- Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Work with the company's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education- BS or BA in personnel administration, human resources management, or closely related field. Prefer MBA and/or MHA. Membership in SHRM or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience- Five (5) years experience in human resources leadership. Prefer five (5) or more years experience in human resources management in the health care field. Prefer thorough knowledge of Joint Commission standards for Human Resources.
- License, Certification, Registration- Drivers License, SHRM-SCP or equivalent HR certification preferred.
- Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Supervisory Responsibilities- This position is directly responsible for leading managers of the division and indirectly responsible for all employees within the division.
Relocation Requirement: The selected candidate will be required to relocate to Bethel, Alaska. Relocation assistance available!
