TDY ADTEP Instructor
Position Summary:
Under general direction provides clinical and didactic instruction to Iḷisaġvik College students in multiple clinical locations, including village clinics. Supports the activities of hte Alaska Dental Therapy Educational Program along with those of hte Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. This position also allows for the instructor to work as an independent TDY dentist for YKHC under the normal TDY compensation if hte instructor chooses to do so.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accredited by the commission of Dental Accreditation of the ADA
- Minimum Experience: Four (4) years of general dental practice or equivalent.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in the Alaska Tribal Health System. Experience teaching or lecturing or completion of a training program for teaching adult learners.

License, Certification, Registration: Current US Dental License. Current Basic Life Support card. Credentials necessary for appointment to the Medical and Dental Staff of the YKDR Hospital.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Ability to supervise dental assistants’ chair side work and oversee ADTEP student clinical encounters.
